After obtaining my master’s degree in Signal Processing from Supelec and Imperial College in 2012, I moved to Hong Kong to pursue a career as an Engineering Manager. During that time, I travelled to Mainland China to help my customers run their high-tech projects. This role gave me the chance to work with big names in the Telecom Industry such as Huawei, HTC and Samsung. This experience taught me about the working culture in China, and how to be client centred. Next, I decided to focus on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. Those fields have always been fascinating to me, so it has been fortuitous that they are growing globally in need and recognition. I worked with various Hong-Kong start-ups on cutting-edge projects such as object detection in images for a goods manufacturer or a credit scoring system for a KYC fintech. In November 2017, I joined Aurexia as a Data Scientist. I was attracted to Aurexia’s focus on new technologies and the vitality of their digital lab. Indeed, from my earliest discussions with Aurexia’s managers, I noticed the passion of the stakeholders for pioneering projects (blockchain, chatbots, AI…) and I knew I would be able to thrive and create in such a dynamic environment. During those first few months, I had the opportunity to work on a successful Chatbot system for a major investment bank. When not on a mission, I help develop the Artificial Intelligence pole of the Digital Lab. Training sessions and experience sharing is at the heart of what we do! Always striving to be one step ahead, we also use our domain expertise to identify real-world problems our customers could face. We then build internal projects that aim to tackle those issues and eventually turn them into solutions we implement for our customers. On a personal note, I was born and raised in Paris and moved to Hong Kong in 2012. Since moving to Asia I have developed a passion for scuba diving, finding new places to snow and water ski, travelling with my partner and am always on the search for new culinary adventures- my favourites being Thai and Vietnamese cuisines.
